Indian Army Organized an Awareness Lecture on Women Empowerment at Salani Poonch

Poonch:The Indian Army organized an insightful lecture on women empowerment at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Salani, Poonch, aimed at raising awareness about various women empowerment schemes in rural Jammu and Kashmir. The session emphasized that the empowerment of women is crucial for building a better future.

When women are empowered, society as a whole is empowered, paving the way for progress and prosperity. The lecture highlighted several government initiatives aimed at achieving this goal, including the National Policy of Education, the National Commission for Women, Balika Samridhi Yojana, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the National Programme for Education of Girls at the Elementary Level, the Swayam, Sidha Women Empowerment Programme. A special focus was also placed on encouraging women’s participation in the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces and CAPF via various schemes. The girls in attendance expressed their appreciation for the Indian Army’s efforts to educate them about these vital programs, recognizing that knowledge gained will significantly improve their outlook on life and contribute to a higher standard of living in the long run.
