Poonch: In a significant initiative aimed at empowering young women and promoting awareness about employment opportunities, the Indian Army organized an inspiring lecture on Women Employment at Chhatral Higher Secondary School today. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 181 students and 18 teaching staff, especially young women, who actively engaged in the interactive session. The lecture focused on encouraging girls to pursue higher education, acquire professional skills, and explore career options in both government and private sectors. Officer from the Indian Army highlighted various government schemes, vocational training programs, and avenues available for women in sectors such as education, healthcare, defence, and entrepreneurship.
The initiative is part of the Indian Army’s continued efforts under Operation Sadbhavana to foster development and awareness in rural and semi-urban areas. By reaching out to the youth, particularly young women, the Army aims to build confidence and help them realize their full potential.
Principal of the school, expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army for their support and commitment to community welfare. “This lecture has opened the eyes of many young girls who now see a brighter and more independent future,” she said. Students lauded the informative session, with many expressing interest in joining vocational courses and exploring career paths they previously felt were beyond their reach. This program by the Indian Army’s displays its dedication not only to national security but also to the social upliftment of communities.
