Poonch: The Indian Army organized an interaction with Veer Naris and conducted video conference with Zonal President AWWA on 26 June 2025. The Zonal President, Army Women Welfare Association (AWWA), White knight Corps, chaired the Video Conference with Veer Naris, reaffirming AWWA’s unwavering commitment to their welfare and dignity.
The Zonal President personally interacted with the Veer Naris, acknowledged their immense sacrifices and assured them of continued support from AWWA in all aspects of their lives. Welfare measures, grievances redressal and opportunities for empowerment were discussed during the event.
The conference focused on reviewing ongoing welfare project, discussing future initiatives and ensuring uniform implementation of AWWA policies for the benefit of families, widows and veterans. The dual engagement underlined AWWA’s proactive and compassionate approach to community welfare and its enduring commitment to the extended Army family. A medical check-up and CSD facilities to all the attendees were also provided during said event.
