Rajouri: On 17 Jun 25, at 1800h when an Operation Team of Galuthi Battalion was undertaking Highway Domination Patrol between Bhimber Gali and Bhata Dhurian, they witnessed a vehicle accident near a bend 100m ahead of Tarakote Ziyarat. A white colour Maruti Suzuki Alto with Regn No JK 11C 4314 had veered off the road and crashed down into the jungle below the Highway. There were four occupants in the vehicle out of which two were Ladies, One male and a one year old baby. Both ladies alongwith the baby had climbed out of the overturned car and were lying on the roadside crying for help. All three of them seemed to have suffered minor injuries.
It was raining heavily at the time and all three of them in a lot of distress. The Operation Team immediately got down from their Light Bullet Proof Vehicles, deployed around the accident site, sanitized the area and approached the ladies for asst. Since it was raining heavily, a civil vehicle passing nearby was stopped and the ladies were ushered inside the vehicle. To stop the bleeding immediate First Aid was administered to the ladies by the Nursing Assistant from the Operation Team.
After making sure that they hadn’t suffered any major injuries/ internal trauma, the Operation Team Commander contacted the Medical Officer inside Indian Army Camp. All three of them were ushered to the Medical Inspection (MI) Room and first aid was given to the two ladies and the baby. After making sure that they received proper Medical care at the MI Room they were handed over to the Police at Bhimber Gali Chowk where the ladies thanked the Operation Team for the timely medical assistance.
