DODA: The Department of Youth Services and Sports successfully wrapped up the Inter-District Divisional Level Kabaddi U-17 Boys Tournament at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Doda.
The tournament showcased tremendous enthusiasm, highlighting the spirit of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the participants. The grand finale was a gripping contest, with District Ramban narrowly defeating District Doda by just two points, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
During the prize distribution ceremony, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jaffer Haider Sheikh lauded the athletes, coaches, and officials for their dedication and hard work. He also expressed appreciation to the organizing committee, medical staff, control room team, mess committee, and all others who contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
The concluding ceremony was graced by dignitaries including ZPEO Drabshalla, Subash Chander, Activity In-charge Javed Iqbal Sheikh, and Games Fund In-charge Shahnawaz Ahmad Qazi, who felicitated the winners and runners-up. The event underscored the department’s commitment to fostering young sporting talent across the Union Territory.
