iPhone 18 Air Launch Expected With Dual Cameras And Slim Design Next Year

Apple’s iPhone Air lineup isn’t going anywhere just yet. After the success of the first iPhone Air, the company reportedly plans to launch the iPhone 18 Air next year, featuring a slimmer profile and upgraded cameras.

Early reports had suggested Apple might scrap the Air successor due to modest sales, but new leaks indicate the company is doubling down on the lightweight model. Unlike the current version, which launched outside the iPhone 17 lineup, the next Air model could debut as part of the 2026 iPhone 18 series.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Apple intends to equip the iPhone 18 Air with a dual rear camera setup, borrowing sensors from the iPhone 17 Pro. The device is expected to include a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultrawide lens, though some speculate the company could opt for a telephoto lens instead. The leaked renders show a familiar ultra-thin design, now enhanced to accommodate two rear sensors in a compact camera module.

The Air series is part of Apple’s effort to diversify its iPhone portfolio, but there’s still uncertainty over whether the model will move beyond the prototype stage—especially as Apple shifts focus toward developing its first foldable iPhone.

Meanwhile, Apple is also working to improve its AI capabilities. Reports suggest the company could partner with Google to integrate a version of Gemini AI into Siri, potentially paying up to $1 billion per year for access to the technology.

If successful, the iPhone 18 Air could become one of Apple’s most distinctive and innovative models yet—combining sleek design, strong camera performance, and smarter AI integration.
