London: Isha Ambani, who co-chaired the inaugural British Museum Pink Ball, turned heads in a stunning pink zardozi-embroidered ensemble. Joining her at the glamorous event was her mother, Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, who looked regal in an elegant saree.
Isha co-chaired the event alongside British Museum director Nicholas Cullinan OBE and the Trustees of the British Museum.
For the evening, she wore a bespoke creation by renowned designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The exquisite hand-embroidered chamoise satin outfit — featuring a fitted jacket and column skirt — was styled by celebrity fashion director Anaita Shroff Adajania. The couture piece took 35 artisans over 3,600 hours to complete. Uniquely, the traditional gold zardozi embroidery was reimagined in delicate shades of pink to reflect the theme of the Pink Ball.
Sharing details on Instagram, Anaita described Isha’s look as “a perfect blend of heritage, artistry, and quiet grandeur,” noting that the design paid homage to Indian craftsmanship while embodying modern elegance. “The blush pink satin jacket and column skirt were intricately hand-embroidered in old rose zardozi with pearls, sequins, and crystals,” she wrote, adding that the embroidery drew inspiration from the tapestries and frescoes of Indian palaces.
Completing her look, Isha accessorized with striking emerald jewellery from her mother Nita Ambani’s personal collection — including a statement necklace, earrings, and a ring. “I’ve always loved the conversation between pink and green — romantic, regal, timeless,” Anaita added.
The British Museum Pink Ball was a glittering evening, attended by a host of prominent personalities and cultural figures, marking a grand debut for what is set to become a landmark annual event.
