Ahmedabad: Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj dominated the West Indies batting lineup, paving the way for India’s commanding innings victory by 140 runs on the third day of the first Test on Saturday.

After declaring at 448 for five, India dismissed the Windies for just 146 in their second innings, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

Jadeja (4/54) and Siraj (3/31) spearheaded India’s bowling effort, with Siraj completing a seven-wicket match haul, showcasing his ongoing excellent form.

For the visitors, Alick Athanaze top-scored with 38, followed by Justin Greaves with 25, but their efforts were in vain.
