Divisional Commissioner Kashmir reviewed the progress of ongoing projects of the Jal Shakti Department during a detailed meeting held today. The review focused on the status of major water supply schemes, timelines of ongoing works, and measures required to address delays in critical infrastructure projects.
Officials from the department briefed the Divisional Commissioner on the physical and financial progress of various schemes under implementation across the division. The meeting discussed augmentation of existing water supply networks, completion of filtration plants, and improvements in service delivery in both urban and rural areas.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to expedite all pending works and ensure strict adherence to project timelines. He emphasised the need for coordinated efforts between field staff, contractors, and district administrations to avoid further delays and ensure uninterrupted water supply to the public.
He also stressed regular monitoring of works on the ground and timely resolution of bottlenecks affecting project execution. The department was asked to submit updated progress reports and maintain transparency in all ongoing initiatives.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Jal Shakti Department and representatives from concerned executing agencies.
