MENDHAR: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today held a meeting with Sub-Divisional staff in Mendhar to review ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the recent landslide in Kalaban.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need for a thorough and transparent assessment of the damages caused by the natural disaster. He instructed officials to ensure that no affected family is left out, and that the evaluation process is fair, accurate, and inclusive.
“The Government stands firmly with every family impacted by this tragedy. All necessary steps are being taken to provide timely relief, rehabilitation, and support to those affected,” Rana said.
He also called for improved coordination between administrative officials and on-ground response teams to enhance the efficiency of relief and restoration operations. The Minister urged for the swift preparation of compensation proposals and long-term rehabilitation plans that accurately address the needs of the victims.
Rana directed officials to undertake prompt follow-up actions and conduct regular progress reviews to ensure effective implementation of all measures on the ground.
