Jammu: Acting on the directions of Vice Chairman Rupesh Kumar, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) conducted an intensive anti-encroachment drive against unauthorised constructions in Domana and Nardani.
During the operation, the JDA team sealed two illegal structures in Domana and demolished an unauthorised plinth in Nardani. Officials said the action was taken in coordination with the district administration to ensure transparency and adherence to planning norms.
The identified constructions, raised without approvals on encroached JDA land, violated urban development regulations. Authorities said the swift action was aimed at preventing further misuse of public assets and sending a strong message against illegal development.
Reiterating JDA’s zero-tolerance policy towards encroachments, Vice Chairman Rupesh Kumar warned that strict legal action would follow in all such cases. He urged residents to verify land status and obtain proper permissions before starting construction.
The JDA reaffirmed its commitment to systematic urban growth and assured continued vigilance to curb violations.
