Jammu: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu & Kashmir, has submitted a chargesheet in FIR No. 18/2014 PS VOJ (now with ACB), registered under Section 5(1)(d) read with Section 5(2) of the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt. 2006, and Section 120-B RPC, before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu.

The chargesheet names Vinod Sharma, former Vice Chairman of JDA; Mamta Sharma, wife of Vinod Sharma; Ghany Sham, then Naib Tehsildar, JDA (now retired and deceased); and Rishi Kumar, then Patwari, JDA (now retired and deceased), as the accused.

The case was registered following a probe by the then Vigilance Organization (now ACB) into allegations concerning the illegal allotment of Plot No. 42, Sector-1A, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and the unlawful possession of an additional 4,300 sq. ft. of land by Mamta Sharma.

Investigations revealed that the accused, in collusion with JDA officers and officials, abused their official positions to facilitate the illegal allotment of the plot and the encroachment of adjoining land in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

The Hon’ble Court has scheduled the next hearing in the case for 15th December 2025.
