Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Wednesday celebrated its 88th Foundation Day, paying heartfelt tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh, the visionary founder of the institution.
A bank spokesman said, “Marking 88 years of service, J&K Bank organized a commemorative event at its Corporate Headquarters, chaired by MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee.”
Speaking on the occasion, Chatterjee said, “On our Bank’s Foundation Day, we honor Late Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, whose vision laid the groundwork for this institution. His foresight has been instrumental in driving the economic empowerment and social transformation of the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. I deeply salute his vision.”
He added, “Our mission now is to elevate the Bank to the next level. By continuing our efforts toward socio-economic development in our core regions, we aim to fulfill the founding dream and make J&K Bank one of the leading banks in the country.”
