Srinagar: The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police is conducting raids at 10 locations across four districts in the Kashmir Valley, officials confirmed on Friday.

According to police sources, the raids are part of an ongoing investigation into terror-related activities, specifically targeting sleeper cells and a recruitment module allegedly operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Abdullah Ghazi from across the border.

The searches are being carried out at one location in Pulwama, six in Ganderbal, one in Srinagar, and two in Budgam.

Just over a week ago, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir launched coordinated search operations at three suspected locations in Jammu, Doda, and Handwara in a major crackdown on terror financing networks.

These operations were aimed at gathering crucial evidence to uncover a sophisticated conspiracy involving cross-border cryptocurrency funding, allegedly used to support terrorism and destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

Investigators are also working to identify individuals involved in inciting youth against the Union of India, posing a serious threat to national security.

The ongoing probe is being conducted under sections 18, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), along with sections 120B, 121, and 121A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and is registered at Police Station CI-SIA Kashmir.

The raids have led to the recovery of significant evidence, marking a key breakthrough in exposing the secret financial channels sustaining terrorism in the region.

Seized articles and electronic devices are expected to play a critical role in helping the SIA identify and arrest co-conspirators and others involved in these anti-national activities.
