Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia that resulted in the deaths of several Indian pilgrims. In his statement, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the souls of the departed.
CM Abdullah also expressed concern for the injured and wished them a speedy recovery. He urged the Government of India to take immediate steps to facilitate the repatriation of the victims’ bodies and ensure that the families receive all necessary support and assistance during this difficult time.
He emphasised the importance of providing timely help to Indian citizens abroad and called for coordination between diplomatic missions and local authorities to manage such emergencies effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of Indian nationals on foreign soil.
