JAMMU: A delegation of senior leaders from the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, led by Working President and former Minister Raman Bhalla, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the pressing welfare concerns of families and farmers impacted by recent natural disasters in Jammu and Kashmir. They submitted a memorandum seeking a comprehensive Central Government package for relief, rehabilitation, restoration, and reconstruction. Additionally, they requested the formation of a high-level expert team to assess areas affected by landslides and land subsidence.
The delegation also emphasized the urgent need for repair and restoration of damaged road infrastructure and the timely completion of key road projects across the region.
Responding to the concerns, the Lieutenant Governor assured that the issues raised would be addressed on a priority basis for swift resolution.
