Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has terminated the services of Farooq Ahmad Najar, Orderly-cum-Chowkidar in the Irrigation Division Tral, after an inquiry confirmed his involvement in a narcotics case registered under FIR No. 43/2024 at Police Station Kakapora.
Najar had earlier been suspended following his arrest and judicial custody in connection with the recovery of brown sugar. During departmental proceedings, he denied the allegations, but the Inquiry Officer, after reviewing police records and evidence, established that his conduct breached service rules and posed a risk to public welfare.
Based on these findings, the competent authority, exercising powers under Article 311(2) of the Constitution of India, ordered his dismissal from service with immediate effect and barred him from any future government employment.
