JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat, on Sunday lauded the force as a “living beacon of sacrifice and bravery,” urging personnel to continue embodying the values of service and selflessness.
He made the remarks while addressing a grand Pipping-cum-Felicitation ceremony at the police auditorium, held to honor officers who demonstrated exceptional courage during counter-terrorism operations.
During the event, several personnel received out-of-turn promotions, others were formally inducted as constables, and many were recognized for their outstanding operational performance.
The ceremony also paid solemn tribute to officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. The supreme sacrifices of Head Constables Bashir Ahmed and Jaghbir Singh, along with Selection Grade Constables Jaswant Singh, Tariq Hussain, and Balvinder Singh, were specially commemorated, with attendees observing a moment of silent homage.
