SRINAGAR: Police on Friday announced the attachment of a residential house along with four marlas of land under Survey No. 4008, owned by Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League separatist Mohammad Yaqoob Sheikh, son of Abdul Salam Sheikh, a resident of Namblabal Pampore who is currently living in PoJK. The action was carried out on the directions of the Hon’ble Additional Sessions Court Pulwama (Special Designated Court under the NIA Act).

According to police, the attachment is linked to FIR No. 24/2024 registered at Police Station Pampore under Sections 121 and 121A of the IPC and Sections 10 and 13 of the ULA(P) Act.

Authorities said the legally sanctioned attachment represents a significant move in ongoing efforts to dismantle secessionist networks and curb unlawful activities that threaten national security.

Awantipora Police reaffirmed their commitment to taking stringent action against individuals or groups involved in activities that undermine the sovereignty, integrity, and peace of the region, the statement added.
