JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday carried out searches at 26 locations in Kishtwar district, including the residence of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Mohammad Amin Bhat, alias “Jehangir Saroori,” as part of a major crackdown on the terror network, officials said.

The operation primarily targeted the houses of terrorists based in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, accused of smuggling arms and ammunition across the border, they added.

The Kishtwar raids followed similar searches at 15 sites in the neighbouring Doda district a day earlier.
