J&K Reorganisation Amendment Bill is scheduled to be presented in the Lok Sabha tomorrow

Srinagar: The Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has requested the Lok Sabha Secretariat to include the introduction of four new bills in the list of government business for Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

According to an official document, the bills slated for introduction are:

The Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025

The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025

The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025

The agenda also proposes the consideration of a motion to refer all three amendment bills—the Constitution, Government of Union Territories, and Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bills—to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament following their introduction.

Additionally, the Lok Sabha’s business for Wednesday will feature a special discussion on “India’s First Astronaut Abroad and the International Space Station: The Critical Role of the Space Program in Achieving ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047.’”
