Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s courtroom drama, Jolly LLB 3, has opened to a promising start at the box office.

Directed by Saurabh Shukla, the film, which hit theatres on Friday, September 19, has shown impressive growth in its initial days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that the movie earned ₹12.50 crore on Friday and ₹20 crore on Saturday, bringing its two-day total to ₹32.50 crore nett in India. This represents nearly a 60% jump on Day 2, indicating a positive response from audiences to the latest installment of the popular franchise.

Adarsh also noted that Sunday’s collections could be affected by the India vs Pakistan cricket match, but he estimates the opening weekend will close at around ₹54 crore.

For comparison, the first Jolly LLB collected ₹7.35 crore in its opening two days, while Jolly LLB 2 earned ₹30.51 crore. With ₹32.50 crore already in the bag, the third installment has surpassed both its predecessors in early box office performance.

Jolly LLB 3 pits two Jollies against each other in a courtroom battle, where both rely on technical loopholes, bending rules, and witty debates to prove who is the “real Jolly” in the legal world. This time, the story centers on a case involving struggling farmers whose lands are being seized by a corrupt businessman, portrayed by Gajraj Rao. Akshay Kumar’s character lands on the wrong side of the case, triggering a series of chaotic and humorous exchanges with Arshad Warsi.

Alongside the lead duo, the film features Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, Ram Kapoor, Gajraj Rao, Shilpa Shukla, Brijendra Kala, and others in significant roles.

Presented by Star Studio18, Jolly LLB 3 released in theatres on September 19, 2025.

Previously, Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi starred in Jolly LLB 2 (2017), a spiritual sequel to the 2013 original, which featured Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla in lead roles, along with Amrita Rao.
