Kashmir Police Chief directs officials to adopt proactive measures to bolster Valley’s security grid

Srinagar: Kashmir’s top police officer on Tuesday directed officials to adopt proactive strategies to further strengthen the security grid across the Valley.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, V. K. Birdi, chaired a high-level security review meeting at the Police Control Room, Kashmir, a police spokesperson said.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Armed Police Forces, Army, and Intelligence agencies.

During the meeting, IGP Birdi assessed the prevailing security situation and stressed the need for proactive and coordinated efforts to maintain peace and stability.

He instructed officers to intensify patrolling, enhance night checks at sensitive locations, and ensure seamless intelligence sharing for swift and coordinated action against potential threats.

Highlighting the importance of sustained vigilance and area domination, Birdi called for stronger inter-agency collaboration and well-planned strategies to effectively tackle emerging security challenges.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to bolster vigilance, strengthen coordination, and ensure the effective implementation of security measures aimed at maintaining peace and public order throughout the Valley.
