Kashmir Villages Witness NIA Raids in Delhi Blast Case

Srinagar, December 1 — The National Investigation Agency (NIA), assisted by Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF, carried out raids at 10 locations across Pulwama and Shopian districts in connection with the Delhi blast case.

Officials confirmed that searches were conducted in villages including Nadigam, Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora, and Samboora. Residences of several suspects were raided, among them Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, Dr Adil Rather, Dr Muzammil Ganai, Amir Rashid, and Jasir Bilal Wani.

The raids are linked to the November 10 car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, which claimed more than a dozen lives and injured many others. The suspected suicide bomber has been identified as Umar Un Nabi

Police sources said that six individuals have already been arrested in the case, including Shaheen Saeed, Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay. Investigators believe the module involved educated professionals and financiers who facilitated the attack.

The NIA stated that the raids were aimed at gathering evidence to expose the wider network behind the blast. Officials added that further arrests and seizures are expected as the investigation continues.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to dismantling terror financing and recruitment structures, stressing that the crackdown will intensify in the coming weeks.
