SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) today held a farewell ceremony to honour outgoing Principal Secretary PDD, H. Rajesh Prasad, who has been appointed as Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

The event was attended by MD KPDCL Mehmood Ahmad Shah; Special Secretary PDD Younis Malik; Chief Engineers of Distribution, Planning & Procurement, Transmission, Generation, and Projects – Kashmir; Director Finance JKPDD; and other senior officers of PDD and KPDCL.

During the ceremony, MD KPDCL and senior PDD officials praised Rajesh Prasad’s visionary leadership and transformative contributions to the power sector in Jammu & Kashmir. They noted that under his dynamic guidance, the department achieved significant improvements in operational performance and financial discipline.

They highlighted that his initiatives led to historic gains in billing and collection efficiency, along with a substantial reduction in Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses. His tenure also saw major infrastructure modernization, including the widespread installation of smart meters, strengthening of grid stations, and enhanced power reliability across the region.

The officers extended their heartfelt best wishes to H. Rajesh Prasad for continued success in his new role as Chief Secretary of Chandigarh UT.
