Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday inaugurated a two-day Jammu & Kashmir Trade Fair in Kulgam, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and promoting local entrepreneurship. The event brings together artisans, small businesses, startups, and industrial units from across the Union Territory.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Minister said the trade fair serves as an important platform for showcasing the region’s diverse products, innovative business ideas, and emerging talent. He emphasized that such initiatives not only boost local industry but also generate employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.

CM Abdullah interacted with participating entrepreneurs, reviewed various stalls, and appreciated the craftsmanship, agro-based products, and technological innovations displayed at the fair. He reaffirmed the government’s focus on strengthening market linkages and supporting small and medium enterprises through targeted schemes and policy interventions.

The district administration, in coordination with industry stakeholders, has organized multiple awareness sessions, buyer-seller meets, and cultural programs as part of the two-day event. Officials said the trade fair aims to encourage collaboration and stimulate economic activity in the region.
