Jammu: Authorities on Thursday attached agricultural land belonging to a Pakistan-based terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district, police said.
The property, measuring 4.11 kanals in Dumki-Sumber, belongs to Farooq Ahmad alias Abid and was attached under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), a police spokesperson said.
The official added that all legal formalities were followed, with the property duly entered into revenue records and a notice issued prohibiting its sale or transfer. The attachment was carried out in the presence of an executive magistrate and other officials to ensure due process, he said.
“This decisive action marks a major step forward in the ongoing crackdown on unlawful and subversive activities in the region,” the spokesperson stated. “It reaffirms the police’s determination to neutralise threats to national security and bolster internal stability in the Union Territory.”
Earlier in June, police had attached 1.11 kanals of land belonging to another Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)-based terrorist, Ali Mohammed alias Ibrahim, also from Sumber village.
