Jammu: Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu organized a lecture on Online tools for enhancement of Academia and Research with special focus on the formulation of a research proposal (synopsis) in the Department of Library and Information Science.
Professor Sangita Gupta, Dean, Faculty of Social Science and Head of DLIS, delivered a welcome address. The session, enriched by the expertise of Prof. Sumeer Gul, a distinguished expert and Prof. Of DLIS, University of Kashmir, provided valuable insights and practical experiences to the discussion.
The lecture aimed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the various online tools available for academia and research, and their utilization to enhance the quality and efficiency of research endeavors. Moreover, the session delved into the crucial process of formulating a research proposal, focusing on creating concise and impactful synopses that effectively communicate the research objectives, methodology, and significance.
Additionally, attendees gained valuable insights into best practices for structuring and presenting a research proposal, drawing from Prof. Gul’s extensive expertise in the field. The lecture was attended by all the faculty members including Dr Meghna Dhar ,Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, Dr. Bindu, Mr. Ashwin Kumar Kushwaha and Dr. Reenu Arti , research Scholars and all students of the Department . Attendees had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions and gain first hand knowledge from Prof. Gul’s expertise.
