Leh: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta on Thursday credited the people’s strong sense of cooperation for helping restore peace and normalcy in the Union Territory, which had witnessed violence on September 24, leaving four dead and several others injured.
“The people of Ladakh have displayed remarkable patience, unity, and cooperation during these difficult times. Their collective efforts have been crucial in swiftly bringing life back to normal across the region,” Gupta said, noting that nearly all restrictions, including those on internet services, have now been lifted.
Chairing a high-level meeting in Leh, the LG said that schools and colleges are functioning smoothly once again. He urged citizens to continue contributing to Ladakh’s progress and to work together with renewed determination for the region’s development and prosperity.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth, Gupta emphasized focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and employment, with particular attention to youth empowerment and sustainable tourism.
He also called on the people to remain vigilant, uphold peace and law and order, and actively participate in ongoing development initiatives to secure a prosperous and stable future for Ladakh.
