12 Tourist Destinations in Jammu & Kashmir to Reopen from 29th September
SRINAGAR: Following a comprehensive security review and discussions during the UHQ meeting, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday announced the reopening of 12 tourist destinations across Jammu and Kashmir. These sites had been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure after the tragic Pahalgam terror attack on tourists on 22nd April.
Of the 12 destinations, 7 are located in Kashmir Division and 5 in Jammu Division. The sites reopening from Monday, 29th September, include:
Kashmir Division: Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanner, Akkad Park, Padshahi Park Bijbehara, Dara Shikoh Garden (Anantnag), Kaman Post, Eco-Park Khadniyar (Baramulla)
Jammu Division: Dagan Top (Ramban), Dhaggar (Kathua), Chinkah (Reasi), Shiv Cave (Salal, Reasi), Padri (Doda)
The administration has ensured all necessary safety measures are in place for visitors at these locations.
