LG Sinha Emphasizes Inclusive Rehabilitation and Equal Opportunities for Persons with Special Abilities
JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Monday reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering an inclusive society that ensures equal opportunities in education and employment for persons with special abilities, empowering them to lead dignified and fulfilling lives.
“Inclusion is the key to prosperity. Our efforts are focused on enabling every member of society to participate fully in Jammu and Kashmir’s developmental journey, allowing people with special abilities to unlock their potential and contribute to collective progress and social stability,” the Lieutenant Governor said.




LG Sinha was addressing the 45th Foundation Day function of the School for the Hearing Impaired, run by the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra in Jammu.
Highlighting the importance of unity and resilience, the Lieutenant Governor said, “India will emerge stronger by overcoming the challenges and hurdles created by certain elements. No one can stop our rise or our march toward a developed India.”
He underscored the need to implement inclusive rehabilitation measures and ensure equal access to education and employment for persons with disabilities. Emphasizing empowerment, he outlined four key aspects:
Identifying and nurturing individual strengths,
Creating an inclusive environment that promotes independent thinking and decision-making,
Providing full support to their decision-making abilities, and
Building a conducive atmosphere for self-learning and personal growth.
The Lieutenant Governor also paid rich tributes to Dr. R.R. Khajuria, founder of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, and lauded the organization’s members for their selfless service to society. He assured all possible support from the administration to ensure the smooth functioning of the school and urged corporate houses, business leaders, and citizens to contribute to this noble cause.
LG Sinha appreciated the students with special abilities for their vibrant performances during the event.
