SRINAGAR: On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his 156th birth anniversary. He extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, calling the occasion an opportunity to embrace Bapuji’s ideals of peace, non-violence, truth, tolerance, compassion, and selfless service, and to contribute to building a Viksit Bharat.
The LG highlighted Gandhi’s lifelong dedication to India’s freedom, social equity, and village development. He emphasized Bapuji’s vision of Swadeshi aimed at fostering self-reliance and promoting local production, urging citizens to support local artisans and cottage industries.
He appealed to everyone to pledge on this momentous day to follow the path of truth and non-violence, promote peace, and actively work towards a prosperous and developed India.
