LG Manoj Sinha calls for strengthening cultural and spiritual bonds to promote a unified Indian identity

SRINAGAR,: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha called upon the people to strengthen cultural and spiritual ties, celebrate India’s shared heritage, and promote a unified national identity during the Foundation Day celebrations of 13 States and Union Territories held at Raj Bhawan.

The celebration marked the Foundation Day of Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said the Foundation Day of different States and UTs serves as a vital platform for cultural bonding.
“It symbolises unity in diversity and shared trust. Our unity is the invisible strength that enables us to work with a shared vision of a strong and Viksit Bharat,” he said.

Emphasising the importance of cultural and emotional integration, the LG added, “I firmly believe that the cultural, spiritual, and emotional bonds forged across different languages and traditions of our great nation can become a powerful engine of progress. We must turn our diversity into a multiplier of resilience and innovation to achieve collective peace, progress, and prosperity.”

The Lieutenant Governor also appreciated the artists for their vibrant performances showcasing the folk songs and dances of various States and Union Territories.

The event was attended by officials of the Civil and Police Administration, students, and representatives from the participating States and UTs.
