Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday described the human mind as the “greatest miracle of life,” stressing that Jammu and Kashmir’s development is closely linked to the empowerment and creativity of its youth.

Addressing a gathering, the LG stated, “Jammu and Kashmir ka vikas seedha yuva shakti ke saath juda hua hai. We must create an environment that nurtures them into innovators, problem-solvers, and future leaders.”

Highlighting the power of human intellect, LG Sinha noted that children who learn basic arithmetic—addition, subtraction, and multiplication—early in life develop sharper life skills and better decision-making abilities. “These foundational skills enable young minds to think analytically and make quick, effective choices,” he explained.

He illustrated the point with an example from the tech world, referencing Google’s initiative to count books across libraries globally. “Google discovered that there are nearly 13 crore unique books in the world. The knowledge contained in these books can fit into the human brain,” he said, emphasizing the limitless potential of the human mind. “If a person learns to fully harness their mind, they can absorb the knowledge of the entire world,” LG Sinha added.

Urging the youth to think beyond boundaries and employ their intellect for nation-building, he emphasized that curiosity, knowledge, and discipline among young minds will chart the Union Territory’s path toward a prosperous future.
