Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting at Raj Bhavan on Friday, starting at 11 a.m., sources said.
The Unified HQ serves as the apex body of security and intelligence operations in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting will review the overall security scenario, winter preparedness, and the recent escalation along the Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan, among other key issues.
Sources added that LG Sinha will receive detailed briefings from top officials on the prevailing security situation across J&K, including developments at the LoC and international borders.
Those attending the high-level review include Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Prateek Sharma, J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, along with heads of paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.
The last UHQ meeting, chaired by LG Sinha in May following the success of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ had emphasized “precise, intelligence-led operations” to eliminate terrorists and dismantle their support networks.
