SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today launched the web portal for the Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra (LGSSK) at Raj Bhawan.
LGSSK is a flagship initiative dedicated to the welfare of serving personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). To enhance its effectiveness, the administration has introduced the portal – lgssk.jk.gov.in – developed by BISAG-N. The portal serves as a key support tool for the Kendra, allowing grievances to be logged, actions to be tracked, and updates to be accessed by both authorities and applicants. While the Kendra remains the primary institutional platform for soldier welfare, the portal ensures systematic follow-up and transparent monitoring of every case.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra acts as a vital bridge between serving personnel and the civil administration, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly through proper channels and resolved in a timely manner. By coordinating with government offices, facilitating necessary support, and monitoring progress, the Kendra reassures soldiers that the needs of their families are taken care of, allowing them to focus fully on their duty to the nation.
With functional offices now at the Civil Secretariats in Jammu and Srinagar, the Kendra will act as a single-window facilitation center to address civil matters for all serving personnel from J&K, including those deployed elsewhere in the Union Territory.
Shri Prasanna Ramaswamy G, Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department and In-charge of LGSSK under the supervision of the J&K Home Department, presented a detailed overview of the Kendra’s operations.
