Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday urged people across the country to visit Jammu and Kashmir, describing the region as the “crown jewel of India” and a year-round destination known for its stunning landscapes and warm hospitality.
Speaking on World Tourism Day, the LG highlighted the natural beauty and cultural richness of J-K, calling it a place that offers both breathtaking scenery and a spiritual experience. In a post on X, he said, “On World Tourism Day, I invite you all to visit Jammu and Kashmir. Blessed with stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unmatched hospitality, the crown jewel of India is a cherished year-round destination.”
The appeal comes amid a slow tourism season in the region following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists.
