iOS 26 beta 3 update brings new features and a new look glass design from Apple that has got people talking.

iOS 26 public beta is yet to come but the developer beta 3 version has rolled out this week. The new beta 3 update brings a slew of new features and some design changes that has got people talking. Most of you would remember the Liquid Glass interface that Apple unveiled at the WWDC 25 keynote with the iOS 26 version but it seems the new update is showing the company changing its stance.

Apple is adding new wallpapers and other ways to customise the home and lock screen for iPhone users. But since this is just a beta update, we only recommend you to install iOS 26 version if you have a secondary iPhone that is eligible to run the update.

iOS 26 Beta 3 Update: What It Brings

The new iOS 26 developer beta 3 version does not exactly come bearing new features but the design changes make it an intriguing move. Apple has toned down the transparency to reduce the glass effect of the UI and made it more frosted, as many have noticed on social media.

The company also brings wallpapers in new colours and options called shadow, sky, halo and dusk. You can also change the placement of the app tiles in the dock that will be centred and slight changes to how the Files and Photos app looks.

As we have said before, installing the iOS 26 developer beta 2 version is not difficult but you need to sign up for the program using your Apple ID. If you are going to use the beta 2 version on a primary device, make sure to back up all the data and also expect some of the regular apps to misbehave.

The iOS 26 version is compatible with iPhone 11 and later models, but you need the iPhone 15 Pro or higher models to use the new Apple AI features coming with the new iOS update. The public beta of iOS 26 is expected in July while the full release should be announced at the iPhone 17 series launch in September.
