Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, ADG NCC Directorate visits Kashmir Region

Jammu: Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (JK&L), undertook a three-day visit to the Kashmir Region to review NCC activities and interact with cadets, instructors, and civil staff. His visit included engagements at the NCC Group Headquarters, Srinagar, and the three NCC Battalions, namely 1 J&K Battalion, 1 J&K (Girls) Battalion, and 1 J&K Naval Unit, based in the city. Additionally, he visited educational institutions with NCC programs, including Army Public School, BB Cantt and Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 in Srinagar, where he met with the respective Principals.

The General Officer was accorded a warm welcome and received a ceremonial Guard of Honour from the NCC cadets. He was briefed by the Group Commander, NCC Srinagar, and the Commanding Officers of the three NCC units regarding the current operations and the ongoing expansion of NCC in the region. The briefing highlighted key issues, future prospects, and the vital role of the NCC in shaping and mentoring the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.



Maj Gen Bevli praised the unwavering dedication of NCC officers and staff in positively channelizing the energy and enthusiasm of Kashmiri youth towards nation-building. He lauded the efforts of NCC cadets in fostering discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service within their communities.

Addressing NCC personnel, including Permanent Instructors and Civilian staff, the ADG encouraged them to continue their mission with renewed vigour and teamwork. He emphasized that dedication and collective effort would be crucial for the sustained growth and success of NCC in the region.

During his visit, Maj Gen Bevli also met with the Corps Commander, Chinar Corps, to discuss various aspects of NCC expansion and initiatives aimed at engaging and empowering the youth of the Valley.

The General Officer provided valuable guidance on training and operational matters, inspiring all ranks to continue their dedicated efforts toward a brighter future for the youth of Kashmir. This visit reaffirmed the commitment of the NCC Directorate JK&L to strengthening its role in youth development and national integration.
