Mumbai: The makers of Thamma have unveiled the energetic dance track “Poison Baby,” featuring Malaika Arora and Rashmika Mandanna setting the floor ablaze with their electrifying moves.
On Monday, fans were thrilled to see Malaika return to her dancing roots in this sizzling number. The track also stars Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the female lead in the upcoming film.
Sung by Jasmine Sandlas, Sachin–Jigar, and Divya Kumar, the song opens with Malaika making a grand entry onto the stage of a neon-lit club. As she grooves to the upbeat rhythm, Ayushmann Khurrana’s character arrives with Rashmika by his side.
The sequence takes an intriguing turn when Rashmika, whose character is believed to be a vampire as hinted in the trailer, mistakes a glass of red wine for blood and downs it in one go. She then joins Malaika on the dance floor, and the duo delivers a fiery performance that has left fans raving.
Rashmika shared the track on Instagram, captioning it with excitement for fans to witness the high-energy collaboration.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles. The recently released trailer teases a supernatural love story between Ayushmann and Rashmika.
The two-minute, twenty-four-second preview introduces Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Thamma — a dark figure who seeks to create an army of vampires to rule over humanity. His plans are thwarted, and he is imprisoned in a cave for a thousand years, only to return when Ayushmann’s character accidentally frees him — setting off a chain of fateful events.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, and written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, Thamma is slated for a Diwali 2025 release.
