The Ministry of External Affairs has described the recent visit of Afghanistan’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Nooruddin Azizi, to India as very successful and productive. The visit, which included high-level meetings in New Delhi, focused on strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Officials stated that discussions covered a wide range of issues, including regional connectivity, investment opportunities, and the facilitation of trade routes. The talks also emphasized India’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s economic stability through constructive engagement and mutually beneficial initiatives.
The MEA highlighted that Minister Azizi’s interactions with Indian counterparts underscored the importance of deepening commercial ties, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure. Both sides agreed to explore mechanisms for enhancing market access and promoting private sector collaboration.
