Jio Frames: India’s AI-Powered Smart Glasses with Real-Time Translation

Jio has unveiled Jio Frames, its latest made-in-India, AI-powered smart glasses, at the RIL AGM 2025 on Friday. Entering a rapidly growing market led by devices like the Meta Ray-Ban glasses, Jio is now offering consumers a new, homegrown option.

The glasses come with multi-lingual AI support, enabling real-time translation across Indian languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali, with more to be added soon. This feature makes the device especially useful for seamless communication across diverse regions of the country.

Equipped with a built-in camera on the stem, Jio Frames allows users to capture HD photos, record live videos, and store them securely on Jio AI Cloud. Beyond visuals, the AI assistant can perform a wide range of tasks hands-free—from summarizing notes to guiding you step-by-step through a recipe.

For entertainment and connectivity, the glasses include open-ear speakers, enabling users to take calls or listen to music while on the move.

Jio Frames will be available soon, with registrations for updates on pricing and launch now open on the official Jio website.
