The Indian government has announced a major mock drill across the country on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 that will be used to evaluate the emergency response systems like air raid sirens, messaging the civilians promptly and more. These messages will obviously include the emergency alert for millions of smartphone users in the country that will be transmitted through the operators.

Android users have the ability to get these emergency alerts but only if they are using a phone with Android 11 or higher version. The settings will be different for different Android versions (Pixel, One UI, HyperOS and more) so make sure to check for the actual terms for your device.
- Go to Settings on your Android phone
- Scroll down the screen to Safety and Emergency
- Now you will find Wireless emergency alerts option, tap on it
- Enable all the alerts for your device
