New Delhi, Dec 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in New Delhi today, officials said.
The meeting is expected to cover a wide range of bilateral issues, including defence cooperation, energy partnerships, trade, and regional security. Officials noted that the dialogue reflects the longstanding strategic relationship between India and Russia, built on mutual trust and shared interests.
President Putin arrived in Delhi earlier in the day for the summit‑level discussions. The talks are likely to include reviews of ongoing projects, expansion of economic ties, and collaboration in science and technology. Both sides are also expected to exchange views on global developments and their impact on regional stability.
Diplomatic observers said the meeting underscores India’s emphasis on maintaining strong partnerships with key global powers while safeguarding national interests. The talks are part of regular high‑level engagements aimed at strengthening the India–Russia strategic partnership.
