Kanpur: Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi brought their signature wit to the trailer launch of their highly anticipated film, Jolly LLB 3.

During a chat with the media, the duo indulged in playful banter, even poking fun at their director, Subhash Kapoor.

Speaking about his experience on set, Akshay Kumar joked about Kapoor’s strict approach to the script. “This man is very particular about the script. Whatever he brings, we have to follow it. Step out of line, and he might even fire you,” he quipped.

Adding to the humor, Arshad Warsi said, “Maine pehli film mein bola, mujhe nikal dia (I said it in the first film, and he fired me),” drawing laughter from everyone present. Akshay also referred to Kapoor as a “strict master,” while Arshad playfully asked him to scold the entire team.

Reflecting on the experience, Kapoor said, “Working with Akshay Ji, Arshad Ji, and Saurabh was fun. They laughed all day on set. As a director, I had certain restrictions, and they followed them perfectly.”

At the event, Akshay shared insights into his preparation for the role of a Kanpur-based lawyer. “I incorporated a few words from Kanpur’s regional dialect. The case unfolds in Delhi, and the film will release nationwide. We used the regional language selectively to make it understandable for everyone,” he explained.

He added, “The film focuses on farmers. It aims to entertain but also deliver a societal message. It is inspired by a real-life incident from 2011.”

Arshad Warsi, reprising his beloved character from the first film, revealed, “There’s a new issue, a fresh story, and moments that will touch your heart. Audiences can expect humour, romance, and emotion.”

Saurabh Shukla, who also attended the launch, noted that while the Jolly LLB films aren’t preachy, they leave a lasting message with the audience.

The trailer, released on Wednesday, gives a first look at the clash between Akshay and Arshad’s characters. Clocking in at three minutes and six seconds, it showcases constant courtroom arguments, with Judge Tripathi, played by Saurabh Shukla, struggling to maintain order.

Alongside Akshay and Arshad, the film features Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, and Gajraj Rao, who plays the antagonist, while Seema portrays a grieving mother.

Written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 is scheduled to hit theatres on September 19, 2025.
