Mumbai: Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, accompanied by Reliance Foundation Founder-Chairperson Nita Ambani, visited the Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai on Wednesday evening to offer prayers at the renowned Ganesh pandal.
The Ambanis arrived under tight security as thousands of devotees gathered to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha during the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Their visit followed a day after Anant Ambani was also spotted at Lalbaugcha Raja, where he bowed before Lord Ganesha, touched Bappa’s feet, and prayed for blessings.
Lalbaugcha Raja, one of Mumbai’s most iconic Ganesh idols, has been a cornerstone of the city’s Ganesh Chaturthi festivities for decades. Managed by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal at Putlabai Chawl, the pandal attracts lakhs of devotees every year.
Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, celebrates Lord Ganesha as the deity of new beginnings and remover of obstacles.
This year’s celebrations will conclude on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony, where the idols are immersed in water, marking the end of the grand festivities.
