Jabalpur, November 30 — The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, rejected claims made by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind president Maulana Mahmood Madani that Muslims feel unsafe in India. MRM national convenor S.K. Muddin said Muslims enjoy full constitutional rights and security, and alleged that clerics with separatist tendencies were obstructing the community’s advancement.

Madani had earlier alleged that attempts were being made to establish the supremacy of one group through bulldozer actions, mob lynchings, weakening of Muslim Waqf institutions, and judicial decisions such as the Babri Masjid verdict. He also claimed that perceptions of courts working under government pressure had grown in recent years.

Responding to these remarks, Muddin stated that such narratives mislead the community and prevent constructive engagement with national development. He emphasised that Muslims should focus on education, employment, and integration rather than divisive rhetoric.

The exchange underscores ongoing tensions between traditional clerical leadership and organisations aligned with nationalist platforms, reflecting broader debates about identity, security, and progress within the minority community.
