Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Renowned interior designer Sussanne Khan is mourning the loss of her mother and veteran actress Zarine Khan, who passed away on November 7 at the age of 81.
A day after her mother’s demise, Sussanne took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute, calling Zarine her “bestest friend, God, and life.”
In her emotional post, Sussanne expressed how her mother inspired the family to live with grace and love.
She wrote,
“My Bestestttttt Friend, My God, My Life… Our Beautiful Mummy… you will always be our Guiding Light. You taught us to live life our own way—with grace and love. May we be even half as amazing as you were, and our lives will be happy. We love you beyond love, beyond life. Until we meet again to laugh and dance together… teach the angels in heaven how to love—they’re lucky to have you. P.S. You took all our hearts with you.”
Alongside the note, Sussanne shared a touching video with her mother, showing the two sharing warm hugs and affectionate moments.
Zarine Khan is survived by her husband, actor Sanjay Khan, and their four children—Sussanne, Simone, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan.
Her daughter Farah Ali Khan also penned a moving message on Instagram, describing her mother as her “soulmate and guiding light.”
She wrote,
“Aaj jaane ki zid na karo… To my mother, my soulmate—the woman who touched many lives with her love, warmth, and shine. You will be missed, for no one can ever be like you. I promise to walk in your footsteps, keep our family bonded, and cherish your friends as my own. Until we meet again, rest in peace my darling Mamma.”
Zarine and Sanjay Khan celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in April this year. She will be remembered for her elegance, compassion, and the deep love she shared with everyone around her.
