Srinagar: The ruling National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir convened a meeting of its legislators on Sunday to formulate the party’s strategy for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
The meeting, chaired by NC general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, was attended by party legislators and senior office bearers, a party spokesperson said.
Among those present were the NC’s nominated candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls — Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Sajad Kichloo, and Shammi Oberoi — as well as Cabinet ministers Sakina Itoo, Javed Rana, and Javed Dar, the spokesperson added.
Discussions centered on enhancing intra-party coordination and finalising the strategic roadmap for the elections. Sagar reiterated the party’s commitment to upholding the constitutional rights and democratic aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He called on party members to remain focused, disciplined, and united in advancing the NC’s broader vision.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and determination among legislators to work collectively toward ensuring the party’s success in the forthcoming electoral contest, the spokesperson said.
