Jammu : During the present situation of uncertainty, the outstanding mettle and initiative shown by NCC cadets of JK&L NCC Directorate is a shining example for others to emulate. To increase the preparedness level of the cadets and also to empower them with hands on knowledge, 8 J&K Girls Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Jammu and NCC Directorate of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh organised a training session for various actions to be carried out while assisting Civil Defence Organisation for 04 ANOs, 55 cadets, 51 college students and 15 Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of PSPS GCW Gandhinagar on 29 May 2025.
The event was organised by Civil Defence Organisation Jammu under the aegis of Directorate of Home Guard/ Civil Defence & SDRF, Jammu. The instructors after covering the various theoretical aspects of Mock Drills, provided Hands on Training on Mass Evacuations, First Aid & CPR and Fire Fighting. In addition to the above the NCC cadets of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate also participated in drills at Military Hospital Satwari, wherein they learnt about Triage, Casualty Management, Ward Duties and above all donated blood.
Their indomitable spirit highlights the core values of NCC and the dedication of its cadets, proving once again, that NCC cadets are always ready to serve the Society and the Nation in times of need.
